DAY FIVE: With COVID and lockdown and uncertainty adding stress to daily life, I’m grateful to live in a walkable city with beautiful parks to stroll through and de-stress.

Remembering the Marikana massacre of mine workers in South Africa in 2012. By artist Haroon Gunn-Salie, Senzenina (2018), the surrendering bodies have no heads and no hands, as though their minds and their physical agency are removed by the state. Primeval and shocking, it is worth a visit.

When the sun shines in London…
…the world seems to right itself. 

I’m dreaming of snow. It’s been too long since London enjoyed views like this. I photographed this dapper chap in 2012. Hope he’ll be back some time soon.
